Annual Library Book Sale

One of the most popular community events is the Annual Friends of the Library Book Sale held every August in conjunction with the Middletown Peach Festival. Months ahead, the call for books goes out to the community resulting in donations of thousands of books from adult fiction and non-fiction to a wide range of books for children of all ages.

The sale not only raises funds for the library, it provides ownership of books to people who might not otherwise be able to afford them. Books that are not sold at the end of the two-day event are donated to other non-profit fund-raising organizations.

The Book Sale could not happen without the help of dedicated volunteers who sort, organize and set up book displays in the corridors and conference rooms of the library. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please send your information to FriendsofAppoLibrary@gmail.com
